Proton/Lotus-Renault GP Showcase @ Singapore F1, Clarke Quay

Thanks to Proton Malaysia I was invited to cover the events along the trip to Singapore F1 Grand Prix 2011. Took Aeroline bus to Singapore and a picture of me is enough to explain that.

Met up Akiraceo coincidentally at the McD of Harbour Front while both of us lost contact with each other. Haha, Akiraceo was buying ice-cream that time~

Proton and its subsidiary Group Lotus, the title sponsor of Lotus-Renault GP, is making its presence felt in Singapore with a showcase. Me and Akiraceo reached Proton/Lotus-Renault GP Showcase which was located at the center of Clarke Quay, Singapore.

Lotus-Renault GP F1 car - the main star in the showcase

If you’re wondering why Proton is at an F1 race, it’s to support Group Lotus and this will also benefit Proton from the association with the sports car brand. A good collaboration to bring both brand to a better exposure.

Remember I blogged about the tricky Ice-Cream Aladin? He's there tricking people again~! =D

Introducing this BATAK Machine. This is the secret weapon for F1 Racer to train their coordination, stamina, and how fast they react on the racing track. All you need to do is hit the light button as soon as you can in 60 seconds. I've tried it once and only manage to hit the white button 52 times instead of 80 times/minute.

Miss Universe Australia Scherri-Lee Biggs, Proton’s brand ambassador Down Under, made an appearance as well.

Scherri-Lee is quite friendly as she take photos with the crowds after interview by the Proton Crew. Nice smile too =)

Personally think that R3 Satria Neo was somehow "hidden" because of the two brightstars at the showcase [Evora and Lotus-Renault F1 Car]. Maybe should put more spot lights on R3 Satria Neo =)

It was quiet a coincidence to bump into Point8Cam. Apparently he was there doing video coverage for this event too. Check out his site @ Point8cam.com for cool video =D

After visiting Proton/Lotus-Renault GP Showcase, we were told that we can visit the Padang for concert. Therefore me and Akiraceo rushed there using the convenient MRT in Singapore to witness Korean-Pop Star GD&Top, Seungri perform live.

It was an awesome experience as everyone are allow to bring their camera in and you can see a big bunch of people snapping photos, recording their live performance. Imagine when everyone use their flash at the same time! More photos will be shown in the next Singapore F1 blog post and wanna thanks Nikon 70-200mm Zoom lens that allow me to capture some close up photos of them although I was standing very far away from the stage!
