Have you guys seen it? Some of my friends have it and I traveled in their car a couple of times, I must say it is surprisingly spacious! Plenty of leg space for the back passengers. Also since I’ll be driving my friends up to Cameron Highlands, another reason to get it?;)

I also checked out the boot space, huge capacity which I think is really good especially for road trips, traveling and also during moving to new house! =)

Performance is very important for me too. I will want a car which is fuel-efficient, yet don’t compromise on power.

So guess what I found when I researched further on the Proton Saga FLX? The Saga FLX saves more money with greater fuel efficiency and provides a smoother drive because of the new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) technology. The utilization of CVT technology has a far reaching impact to the consumer. Other than the fuel savings, the smoothness and reliability that CVT provides allows the engine to run at an optimum level, thus resulting in less engine fatigue and improving its long term durability.

Sounds awesome to me!

The Proton Saga FLX 1.3L Executive variant also comes with a list of added safety features which I’m sure my mum will be happy about. There is dual SRS airbags for driver and front passenger along with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). Plus with the Proton Ride and Handling Technology, I know I will have total control at every twist and turn.

On top of all that…

Who can live without music? I can't! So I must make sure my new car will have at least a USB/CD Player so I can sing when I am alone so it won't be a silent and boring drive.


It is good to know the Proton Saga FLX have the Steering Audio Controls. Another added safety feature in my opinion, since I can just change channels easily while driving my car.

Design of course is important too!

I wanted to test drive SAGA FLX 1.3 but due to certain reason I am automatically upgraded to test drive the brand new Metallic Red SAGA FLX SE 1.6 which just arrived yesterday!! Looks really sporty from the outside =) I like!!

I like the leather cushion seats with red thread at the side. It just looks hot =) Check out their sport rims too. SAGA FLX SE 1.6 is a 1.6 litre Campro IAFM engine and available only with CVT automatic transmission. Calvin, the Proton guy let me drive around the town to test out the CVT features and I can tell you the experience is really really smooth. With just a little press on the pedal you can feel the power of SAGA FLX SE. The CVT Technologies really works brilliantly as the gear switched so seamlessly that I didn't even notice it.

I had to do a U turn to get back to the showroom, and this was when I tried the turning radius. It was so small I hardly had to go into the 2nd lane! Calvin told me the turning radius for the SAGA FLX is just 5.3 meters. Wow!
