GD&TOP + SEUNGRI @ Singapore Grand Prix 2011 [PHOTOS]

Still remember me and Akiraceo went to Singapore F1 Grand Prix 2011 together? We had awesome fun there including an exclusive garage walk and enjoyed concert from Korean Popstar like Seungri, GD&TOP, not forgetting the powerful vocal Linkin Park +++

Today I will only share photos taken during Seungri and GD&TOP concert photos. Gonna thanks Nikon for the zoom lens that helped me capture GDragon, Top and Seungri's performance far from stage. All photos above was taken using Nikon AF-S VR-NIKKOR 70-200mm 1:2.8G Zoom Lens. It is quite heavy but a very nice lens to have!

Pros and Cons:
Nikon AF-S VR-NIKKOR 70-200mm 1:2.8G can provide really sharp images and able to create beautiful bokeh because of its VR [Vibration Reduction] features. Although it is heavy and might be expensive for DSLR Beginners, I highly recommend you to invest in this because the images created by it will surely satisfy you =)


I was standing this far from the stage. Wonder if there is any other way besides squeezing into the crowd.


Besides, almost everyone have their compact camera and also DSLR for this concert. So I must look for a place at higher level without being blocked by them.

Since I was quite new with this zoom lens I was still experimenting it with my humble Nikon D90. Therefore initially the images look blur or somehow tends to focus at the backstage lighting because I was really too far from the stage. After GD&Top finished their performance, the crowd encores and it bring back both Seungri & GD&Top!! Happier people at the concert instead!

Hope you guys especially the fans enjoy this series of photos! I have recorded some video using the Nikkor Zoom lens too. So leave a comment below if you are interested to see the result.

The tips to have clear images when you are using Zoom lens is to use the Live View focusing. First, choose smaller and specific spot Live Focusing area. Then you can use the digital zoom to zoom in and the sensor will able to have more accurate reading of the light resulting sharper images. Hope this helps you =)

Between, a monopod/tripod is quite handy to handle your heavy DSLR attached with the zoom lens.

1600 Pandas Flash Mob @ Perbadanan Putrajaya, Malaysia #1600Pandas

1600 Pandas @ Perbadanan Putrajaya Just came back from Putrajaya after paying a visit to the 1600 Pandas exhibited at Perbadanan Putrajaya . The pandas flash mob were supposed to last for two hours but around 11am++ the pandas were being kept back to the rack due to drizzling at the venue. Anyhow, I manage to get some photos for you guys (and myself) haha. I love this location because the pandas were being placed on the carpet grass right in front of the beautiful buildings in Putrajaya. Too bad that the weather wasn't sunny and the carpet grass became muddy after rain. Luckily I wore my Havaianas slipper or else I am in deep shit hahaha. Malaysia local celebrities Jeffrey Cheng 庄惟翔 and  TJ 东于哲 were spotted at Perbadanan Putrajaya doing photoshoot and quick interview with the media. Fun fun fun! After the  Tea-se Session with David DeCandia at Coffee Bean , both me and Jennifer went to the dog park in Desa ParkCity for a 1-on-1 photography workshop. I am glad that there are people who wanna learn photography from me and I am able to give guidance on this favourite topic. I am not graduate from Art School but reading photography magazines and practice everyday can definitely helps improve your photography skill. Desa ParkCity has a huge park and this is one of the place where you can bring your dog hang out here and to meet new friends.
