Let's Get Positive with Astro's Positive Engine this Merdaka!!

Registration going on for Bloggers and Churpers to join the Mission Impossible @ Mid-Valley Megamall

In conjunction with Malaysia’s 56th Independence Day, Astro celebrates the best of Malaysia through a variety of activities on air, online and on ground to spread positivity and happiness. They are the #gobeyond and #UrMalaysianIsShowing campaigns, as well as the launch of a new music video, entitled “Excuse me Sir, your Malaysian is showing”.

Me along with many bloggers and social media evangelist were invited for Astro Celebrates Merdeka Event which was held at Mid Valley Megamall last Saturday. There was a huge crowd at the Astro booth to witness what was going to happen and I saw Geraldine Gan and KY Tha Jie Ying's fan who were dressed in red and yellow waiting to meet their idols.

Among the celebrites who have attended the event included 赵洁莹, Astro本地圈艺人颜慧萍, 关萃汶 and MY FM DJ贾森. Besides, Dato’ Aznil Hj Nawawi、Revathy、Lisa Surihani、Lingkesh、Vinoth、Haniff (ERA)、Arnorld (hitz.fm)、Ryan De Alwis (hitz.fm)、Ezra (MIX fm) and Uthaya (THR Raaga) have also attended the event.

This year, Astro's Merdeka Campaign revolves around celebrating the uniqueness as Malaysians and encouraging everyone to do something positive to put a smile on the faces of others. Everyone are invited to participate in Astro #gobeyond campaign and share about it on social media with the #gobeyond hashtag.

Your positive action can be helping someone in need or even writing an inspiring message, which will trigger the Positive Engine. Every positive act will be tabulated and whenever The Positive Engine receives certain amount of positive message, a metal ball will come out from the top and you will able to enjoy it rolling around the 'island'. Pretty awesome to see =)

The Positive Engine is the first of its kind that features Malaysian landmarks (KLCC, KL Tower) and is housed in the 3rd floor in Mid Valley Megamall for all to see. You gotta check them out!!

Astro celebrates the best of 1Malaysia and our Malaysianess by recognising Malaysia unique lingo such as Syok!, Gostan, Brudder, Fuyoh, Macha, understood only by fellow Malaysians. While waiting for the bloggers and churpers to complete their mission, we went to the end-point, which is a restaurant to have our meal. It was hot inside but glad we can have unlimited cool drinks in this place. I taught Jane how to do my signature fish-eye pose too haha.
