Here is it!! After weeks of planning and research online with the helps of Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows, I am now revealing with you guys what are the hidden gems that I found during my adventure to the familiar yet mysterious Kuala Lumpur. Below is the map route that I've planned and marked with pins.
Ever since I start travelling, I know that to fully explore one place you must take it slow and walk on foot instead. With that you will able to see more things at your surroundings. I've always wanted to explore the city but it was hard to find parking when I was driving and there are certain roads that can only be accessed if you walk.
That's why I've decided to take the LRT to Dang Wangi Station and continue my exploration all the way up to PasarSeni LRT by foot. The first place that I wanted to explore is Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve - Taman EkoRimba Kuala Lumpur.

Knowing that KL Forest Eco Park - Bukit Nanas was under construction since 2012, I was expecting a well maintained Eco Park during my visit this time. I was there afew years back and I still remember I saw a group of Macaque monkeys wandering around the trail of Jelutong. Unfortunately it seems like the place is not well maintained as I saw some broken facilities along the journey.

I started my lone journey to Bukit Nanas from Warung Seni. ( A few meters away from Dang Wangi LRT Station) You can choose to use the well paved stairs to the Bamboo Walk or the Jelutong Trail (which closer to nature) to reach the Bamboo Walk area.

You know that you will find something awesome when you see blue ferns growing at the hill side. I saw many of them when I was going up the stairs towards the Bamboo Walk. It was a long walk uphill hence you are advised to bring along a bottle of water.
There were lots of insects including mosquitoes hence I highly recommend you guys to wear long sleeves or use insect repellents to prevent mosquito bites.

When I was setting up my camera with gorilla pods on the stairs for self-portrait, I saw a cute squirrel passing by =) Don't see me looking so cool like that, I was secretly bitten by mosquitoes when I tried to make an adventurous pose haha.

If you love nature, you will definitely like the surrounding there. Enjoying the hums created by summer bugs while walking through tree canopies with leaves sliding down when wind blows. It was therapeutic for a person who always stay in the city.

During my journey to Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, I only bump into a tourist who was walking towards KL Tower alone. There was a toilet but it was not open, so I guess not many visitors come to this secret place.
The good thing about less crowded place is you will able to see the more natural side of the forest, the bad thing is you can't find store that sells drinking water, or toilet for you to take a quick break. I was sweating a lot when I have reached this place.

If you checked out the location map above, Bamboo Walk is only half way of Bukit Nanas. I was trying to access the road from Bamboo Walk to another part of Bukit Nanas, but the route to Hopea Track was closed during my visit. Therefore I have no choice but to continue my trip to KL Tower instead. There is a camping site right beside the Bamboo Walk and from there you can have different view of the KL Tower.
My favourite part of Bukit Nanas is still the Bamboo Walk regardless of the mosquito swarm that was attracted to my sweat and decided to feast on me.

In order to reach KL Tower, you will need to walk through this red rope hanging bridge. I didn't encounter any big spider that day, but I can always feel their existence by running into spider webs floating in the air.

I took a short break around KL Tower and walked around the tower for 360 city view. Replenish myself with a bottle of mineral water, a quick toilet break, and I am good to continue my adventure in the KL City.

I took the shuttle service to go downhill and continue my walk towards JalanPudu. Found some cool wall graffiti at the old building near KL Tower and you can see more by searching the hashtag #TanahAirKu.

Went into Muzium Telekom for a quick check out of this place and I was really happy that I found this can drink machine that sell drink at only RM1. I do consider this as one of the hidden gems that I stumble into as I got the cold drink that quench my thirst =D

| Chinatown Petaling Street Flea Market |
I passed by one of the entrance of Petaling Street Flea Market and took the above picture. After that I went through the busy street so that I can check out what stuff they are selling in there and reach PasarSeni LRT Station earlier.

Petaling Street is a place that you can buy all kinds of fake branded stuff at bargain price. Since this is a popular and busy tourist area, do take care of your belongings to avoid pickpockets.

Right at the middle intersection of Petaling Street Flea Market, you will able to spot this Kim Soya Bean stall selling fresh soya bean curd (Tau Fu Fa/豆腐花) and soya milk. They have been doing business here for more than 70 years and now is handled by the third generation.

I had a nice bowl of soya bean curd with black sugar and even bought two extra for takeaway. It is advised that you have your bean curd right at the stall as it deteriorate quite fast since it doesn't contain any food preservatives. For takeaway it cost around RM2.00 per box.

Before I took the LRT at Pasar Seni Station, I saw a long stretch along the canal with mural arts on the wall. I've always wanted to check out this place and get closer to it ever since I saw it for the first time. There are currently two ways to access to the graffiti along the canal. You can either go behind of PasarSeni LRT Station to the road slope to access this place; or climb down using the ladder that you can find near the bridge over the canal.

It could be dangerous if you are travelling alone down here but so far nothing bad happened. I was greeted by friendly person who seems like staying under the bridge at the other end. "Separation 2: Giants Shall Rise" was the result of a live graffiti battle between Katun (Malaysia) and ClogTwo (Singapore). You can find more of these graffitis along Sungai Klang River Bank.
