An Experience Helping People In Need #ProjectNourish

An Experience Helping People In Need Today I would like to share something I did in mid of July. It was a meaningful evening with friends from Maxis team.Working with two local NGOs –  Pertiwi Soup Kitchen  and  Kechara Food Bank  – over 150 Maxis volunteers took to homes and the streets during Ramadan to distribute food and essential supplies to the urban poor and homeless in and around the Klang Valley. #ProjectNourish was more than just about helping the needy. It gave us the opportunity to go down to the ground to see for ourselves the reality of urban poverty, have a sense of gratitude and do something meaningful. It was certainly an eye opening experience to be able to directly interact with and help those in need. Below are some photos taken when we visited two of the family:

The 'Five Pillars of Happiness' campaign takes the cue from the messages in customary getting on the morning of the lunar new year: wealth (禄) ; longevity (寿) ; health (康) ; tranquility (宁) ; and luck(福); and where good fortune befalls when one wishes and does good deeds for others. PETRONAS "5 Pillars of Happiness"     The launching was held at the lobby area of Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS, Twin Towers KLCC . I like how the venue was decorated and the loveliest sight is the CNY deco on the chair! Nice Chinese New year decoration We received a CNY door gift that represent the 5 pillars of happiness Luck; Wealth; Longevity; Health; Tranquillity PET

PETRONAS Sentuhan Kasih Programme @ Kampung Wellington. Here's My Story!

Early on a Saturday morning, me and my gf went to KLCC as we bloggers were heading to Kampung Wellington in Manjung, Perak for PETRONAS's 2012 "Program Sentuhan Kasih Deepavali ". Since we woke up as early as 5am, we slept in the bus till we reach Kampung Wellington. Below were photos taken during our trip!! For your information, Program Sentuhan Kasih is a PETRONAS festive CSI programme piloted in 2005 in preparation to celebrate major festivities in Malaysia. This program was initiated to communicate the 'human' side of PETRONAS where staffs are given the opportunity to share the spirit of togetherness and share the festive joy with the underprivileged community.  Since it was well received by the staff and management, PETRONAS decided to make it an annual affair in 2006 and expanded the programme to cover other festivals such as Deepavali, Chinese New Year, Gawai, Tadao Kamaatan and Christmas depending on the locations. As for this year's Deepava
