Nikon D780 Review: Spending My Morning Self Portrait at #PuchongLalang

Finding beautiful place around my neighborhood has always been fun. Little did I know that this empty land nearby my house can have its own beautiful landscape from time to time. Due to the schedule grass mowing, these lalang will only bloom once a while before the mower come again.

One fine morning I brought along the Nikon D780 for a trip trying to take some self portrait and dvlogging using it at this beautiful Puchong Lalang. Since it is seasonal, please do note that this place don't always looks as good as the photos. You gonna wait for the right time and come before the rain took the beauty away.

Above video was taken when I found this place for the first time. In my opinion it was still the most beautiful moment as the lalang is abundant. I call these white grass as "lalang" (in Malay) and it actually has some scientific name. Imperata cylindrica  or better known as Cogon Grass.

All these plants are actually wild plant that made the empty land looks much more interesting. This is the closest 'forest' I've been to and always want to be.

Thankfully with the Nikon D780, tripod, and Snapbridge Mobile Apps, I can take better self portrait easily with the face focusing feature too. Or else, it is hard to make sure the focusing is right. 🌾最近日落很美 赞同吗?🙋‍♂️🤠🌾 #PuchongLalang 金银茅草 唯美日落 现已不再 等待下一春 . . . This photo was taken on my 3rd/4th visit to this little paradise in Puchong. Sometimes good things doesn't happen for long, that's why you gotta get prepared very well & as much as you can to seize the opportunity when it come📸 🌾Remember, preparation is the key 🌾. . . 📸: @tianchad . This is actually a #TCselfie taken right after several visits and multiple tries. Sometimes rain washed them away and sometimes the sun covered by the clouds. I prepared the tripod, a camera and a phone waiting for the right weather. Phone used as shutter trigger and screen to frame myself, and take photos within half an hour of the golden hour. Mosquito bites is unavoidable but wearing long sleeves help. If you're determined enough you will able to do what you want to achieve. . . . #AdvancedSelfie inspired by @sorelleamore . . . Since now Malaysia is still under MCO, we are not advised to move around to even go out and shoot. For upcoming blogpost/social media update, I will share more on what we can shoot at home challenging our creativity okie?

1600 Pandas Flash Mob @ Perbadanan Putrajaya, Malaysia #1600Pandas

1600 Pandas @ Perbadanan Putrajaya Just came back from Putrajaya after paying a visit to the 1600 Pandas exhibited at Perbadanan Putrajaya . The pandas flash mob were supposed to last for two hours but around 11am++ the pandas were being kept back to the rack due to drizzling at the venue. Anyhow, I manage to get some photos for you guys (and myself) haha. I love this location because the pandas were being placed on the carpet grass right in front of the beautiful buildings in Putrajaya. Too bad that the weather wasn't sunny and the carpet grass became muddy after rain. Luckily I wore my Havaianas slipper or else I am in deep shit hahaha. Malaysia local celebrities Jeffrey Cheng 庄惟翔 and  TJ 东于哲 were spotted at Perbadanan Putrajaya doing photoshoot and quick interview with the media. Fun fun fun! After the  Tea-se Session with David DeCandia at Coffee Bean , both me and Jennifer went to the dog park in Desa ParkCity for a 1-on-1 photography workshop. I am glad that there are people who wanna learn photography from me and I am able to give guidance on this favourite topic. I am not graduate from Art School but reading photography magazines and practice everyday can definitely helps improve your photography skill. Desa ParkCity has a huge park and this is one of the place where you can bring your dog hang out here and to meet new friends.
