TVB與Astro再次聯手，為馬來西亞電視觀眾提供更多選擇、更全面的電視新體驗！於5月1日正式登陸Astro的翡翠娛樂配套（Jade Pack），將囊括最熱門的TVB劇集、最新鮮的資訊娛樂與綜藝節目、亞洲最強功夫與武林影劇，以及經典不朽的粵語片。所有使用B.yond機頂盒的Astro用戶，將能從5月1日至15日之間，免費預覽翡翠娛樂配套内的頻道。

電視廣播（國際）有限公司國際業務部總監李德基表示：「大馬觀眾更可收看更多的本地製作綜藝節目，以增廣見聞；除了廣受大眾歡迎的《星級健康》及馬來西亞版《姊妹淘》系列外，TVB亦即將投入更多資源，製作更高質素的本地綜藝節目，例如即將首次在馬來西亞舉辦的《國際中華小姐競選》，而這些觀衆所期待的節目將透過翡翠台播放。」

TVB X ASTRO LAUNCH JADE PACK 2016 ENGLISH PRESS RELEASE
TVB and Astro is launching a new pack, Jade Pack, comprising the latest TVB dramas, freshest infotainment and variety shows, action packed Asian martial arts and all time classics for Astro customers in Malaysia starting 1st May 2016. Astro customers on B.yond set-top-boxes will be able to enjoy a free preview of the channels in Jade Pack from 1st to 15th May 2016.
The new Jade Pack consists of the following TVB channels, of which three are new in Malaysian market – TVB Jade (Ch. 326), Asian Action Channel (Ch.327), Classic Movies (Ch. 328) – in addition to TVB E-News (Ch. 313), TVB Xing He (Ch. 314), TVBS Asia (Ch. 317) and TVB Classic (Ch. 305), some of which premiere on the same day as Hong Kong.

As the flagship channel of Jade Pack, TVB Jade (Ch.326) airs the latest TVB primetime dramas and sitcoms same time as Hong Kong, offering the best variety and current affairs programmes as well as the best in entertainment from Hong Kong. Available in SD and HD, the channel airs News at 6:30 daily and News Roundup on weekdays, 11pm, bringing Malaysian audiences the latest news updates from Hong Kong and beyond. A great selection of movies and musical shows will be available on weekends, catering to the diverse group of viewers.
Sherman Lee, Controller, International Business, TVBI said, “Malaysian audiences can look forward to more locally-produced variety shows to broaden their horizons. This year, alongside Wellness on the Go and the Malaysia version of All Things Girl series, TVB is investing more resources to produce localised programmes of an even higher quality. In addition, for the very first time, we will be bringing the popular pageant programme, Miss Chinese International Pageant to Malaysia. These highly anticipated programmes will be available on TVB Jade.”
Asian Action Channel (Ch.327) is a new channel for authentic Asian martial arts flicks from a huge library of well-known Kung Fu and Wuxia classic drama series. The blast from the past includes legendary action flicks about masters of Shaolin, Wudang, Wing Chun and Tai Chi, featuring luminaries like Chen Zhen, Bruce Lee and Huang Fei-Hong. Not to be left out are adaptations of Wuxia novel series by prominent authors such as Jin Yong and Gu Long. These series tell epic tales of good versus evil and unyielding patriotism.
Classic Movies (Ch.328) is home to all-time classics from Hong Kong. It showcases a wide array of genres, ranging from Cantonese operas, art and ethics, fantasy to martial arts, suspense, mystery and the like. Each of these genres brings to the screen a slew of stars of yesteryear. Powered by a library filled with Hong Kong’s movie legacy from the 50’s to the 70’s – mostly filmed in black and white, Classic Movies provides an unmatched entertainment experience by leading audiences down memory lane of the old Hong Kong.
Cantonese entertainment news channel TVB E-News (Ch.313), dedicated drama channel with thematic time-belts TVB Xing He (Ch.314), Taiwan’s general entertainment channel TVBS Asia (Ch. 317) and classic drama channel TVB Classic (Ch.305) complete the compelling channel line-up of Jade Pack.

As a photographer for event of the day, below are some exclusive event photos that I would like to share with you all. Some of the TVB Artists did their best to intro Jade Pack 2016 while trying to get advertisers to invest in these new TV channels. What they said are true, if no advertisers, there won't be anymore good Hong Kong TVB Drama that we can see on the TV. TVB artists as the content creator, advertiser to support business going and we as the consumer are totally influencing each other for a good entertainment growth haha. So my job today is to share some nice event photos with you guys!
Benjamin Yuen and Elaine Yiu sang a duet together; Joyce Tang sang as famous single from a TV Drama; Grace Chan and Amigo Choi are the emcees of the night. Sisley Choi, Joyce Tang, Tony Hung and Pal Sinn did some acting challenges to compete with each other. The main highlight would be Bowie Wu who sang and dance like a young man together with Nancy Sit who came out with her 70's outfit. I kinda run out of time to caption every photos below but I hope you got the rough idea on what had happened that evening.
Oh ya, a huge surprise was TVB and Astro let the guest to have selfie photos with all the TVB artists who attended that event launch. I only manage to selfie with Nancy Sit while other VIPS were surrounded by the overwhelmed excited guests.
