I was invited by Amelia on behalf of NASOM to watch a movie named Temple Grandin, a real story about how Temple overcome autism. The trailer doesn't tell much about the story but I Am glad that I went for the screening. Quite interesting and meaningful =) Temple Grandin Synopsis Winner of 7 Emmys, 1 Golden Globe and 1 Screen Actors Guild Award, Temple Grandin paints a picture of a young woman's perseverance and determination while struggling with the isolating challenges of autism at a time when it was still quite unknown. The HBO Original Movie chronicles Temple's early diagnosis; her turbulent growth and development during her s

[Movie] HomeComing 笑着回家 Review 2011

HomeComing 笑着回家 Watched HomeComing today at e@curve, thanks to UIP Malaysia for the passes. Always like Jack Neo 's movie because it is not only funny but always have a moral behind. This time the moral is focusing of Chinese New Year's tradition especially reunion dinner. The tradition where you shouldn't wear black during CNY and must wait for everyone to reach before reunion dinner. Spend more time with family members although work is important. Noticed it is a big challenge when the wife of the son need to deal with his mom, especially when they have different tradition. "JLB", "Fantabulous", "Ni hen huai de lo", and much more Malaysia's slang included. Makes it more friendly to the local viewers. Oh ya, I guess the 4D for "4273" will increase this month ;p Overall rating: 7/10 for the funny + moral elements HomeComing 笑着回家 After the movie, went to have lunch @ Popeye e@curve. The fried chicken quite nice if compared with K

The Social Network Movie Review

Image
Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) , a familiar name for everyone who active in Facebook. After watch the movie, I am impressed with his intelligence in creating something new and paying attention to the surrounding. He will only focus on what is important. However, in this movie it shows that he is a bit too clever and always talk 2 different things at same time. He need a girlfriend who is as smart as him to counter back right? Between Erica Albright (Rooney Mara) , Mark's girlfriend has been featured in this movie too. Erika was cyberspace humiliated by Mark's blog and it can cause a big damage especially hurt someone's feeling. An advice to all bloggers: Never ever blog while you feel angry, frustrated. You might regret what you wrote on the blog/internet especially after the effect of alcohols went off. The moment when the big + tall + good looking twins found out their idea has been stolen and Facebook has become bigger and wider. As long you are not using their soft

A movie about friendships, trust, betrayal, woman, revenge and not forget about "monkey action" of Chris Brown. He can just climb and jump like a monkey at ease. The family guy policeman who allow Jesse (Chris) to shoot him after his crime was recorded by a cam. Is he trying to run away from his sin by letting Jesse "punish" him? Usually cop like Jack Welles (Matt Dillon) in a movie sure is a single parent ar? Spending too much time after the bad guy but somehow ignored his family. When time pass people do change ha? Everyone is after something, what are you after now? I will still continue after my dream

Synopsis: Salt is an American action thriller film directed by Phillip Noyce, written by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Helgeland, and starring Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, who is accused of being a KGB sleeper agent, and goes on the run to try to clear her name. Just finished watch SALT the movie, 2 days before premiere in Malaysia (All thanks to Nuffnang =D) So what do I feel about the movie? Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) try to clear her name after being accused as a Russian Spy. She is a well trained person in the movie. In one of the scene I really like how she use created explosive weapon by using the toiletry, chemicals and a fire extinguisher. Where can I learn that?Hmm... Overall, I would rate this movie 7/10 as most of the policeman in the movie are a bit too weak to capture Agent Salt. With just a few punch and kicks can knock out those fella already. Maybe because the story was supposedly designed for Tom Cruise (who initially s
