On the 6th day of CNY I was back to work on the so-called "company's lucky open ceremony" day. Which means “吉日” in Chinese :) Even the best time to open the office is set to 9.30 am So a lots of colleagues who don't know already reach there since 8.30 am (Including me...) We manage to have a morning tea at Mamak Stall nearby to spend the waiting time. This is my first time joining a company's open ceremony and first time receiving Angpows from my boss and supervisors :) We then go in the office after 9.30 am and saw those CNY + Christmas's Card all around the floor. Can you see a "$" sign at the blank area ? ;p This means our company will "Huat La"! Haha Basically there is nothing to do on Saturday And I learnt new tradition that even there is nothing to do on the "Lucky open ceremony day" You should print out something using the printer. As a meaning of you are contributing to company and you will be hardworking for whole year?

Since Saturday I need to get back to work I was feeling bad cause need to go back Puchong after enjoy the CNY Holiday for not so long When I arrived Puchong, got a call from Mun2 asked if want to go visit Hui San and her family Immediately I agreed without asking who else going Thought there would be alot more people going to her house too In the end, only me and Mun2 went to visit her ...~ Hui San was sick but happy to see us there :) We talked alot and eat alot. Today was a smelly day for me and all my colleagues ;p As if some of you haven't know I am working as a R&D Executive under fermentation category. I have start a fermentation culture since last week and it deteriorated when I come back yesterday. So decided to sterilize (kill the microbes) it before wash the fermenter. I used the autoclave machine to sterilize the fermenter and guess what?? Due to the culture was deteriorated, it has already smelly. After sterilization, I was almost suffocated by the odor emitted out from the machine when I opened the cabinet . I quickly closed the door and opened the windows nearby to get those smell out of there... But I failed and the smell spread to the office area which is far away from the lab. Some of my colleague searching for the source and thought it was coming out from the air conditioner.
