Thunder Storm in Malaysia 10 April 2013 + FROYA

Image
So yesterday (9 April 2013) was the starts of thunder-storm-horror-night, people who left office late might get stuck in the jam. Kuala Lumpur is famous for flash flood whenever there is any thunder storm and today seems like a lot of places have cars and motorbikes stranded in the flood. Sign... sorry to hear for your lose!! Hopefully yon did buy insurance coverage for your car... Anyway just to share with you two photo that I got during the thunder storm. I've always wanted to snap thunder strike photos long long time ago ever since I saw it on National Geography TV Program. Now knowing that I can snap this kind of photo too means anything is possible as long you learn and take the first step to do it. Thunderstorm in Malaysia Thunderstorm in Malaysia This above photo could be better if I placed my camera nearer to the window. Unfortunately the rain was quite heavy and I don't want my camera to get wet (although waterproof) and water droplets on the lens. See

Melaka River at Night Looks Calm & Colorful

Image
Melaka River Night Scenery The weather is freezing cold now after the rain in the evening. A totally different kind of CNY I've been through so far.Currently listening to fresh music covers from various YouTube singers and it just feels right when you found another great YouTuber to be subscribed. I am currently still in the mood of Chinese New Year holiday and did quite a lot of stuff during these two weeks. We played fireworks and it exploded in neighbour's house, knowing that the other neighbours asked for the house number plate to buy 4D and eventually it  win the 2nd prize. Congrats to those who bought the number '6064' haha. One of the most enjoyable moment during my holiday is a simple gathering with primary school friends near Melaka River. Believe it or not, Melaka has changed a lot although I just away for a few months, more and more old houses turn into homestays and more restaurant/shop forming around the Jonker Walk area. I can really spend at leas

How to Slim Down Fast after Chinese New Year?

Image
I believe almost everyone who celebrated Chinese New Year are regretted with all the food and drinks they have swallow down and stay around at the stomach area. Unfortunately, I am one of them... I mean... how can you resist all those good food prepared by your family right? If you don't eat, it will all become part of the rubbish bin. Here's a picture of my CNY lunch: A typical CNY lunch with 11 delicious dishes  This was only part of all the foods I've 'wallap' during CNY and some of the stubborn fat just decided to reside at my belly area. You may see it from the pictures below: Courtesy of Calvin Hee from Gorgeous Fitness Malaysia, I was given a 1 year membership to go to any of the gym.  I've never really use it as I find it quite 'hard' to go to gym alone without having proper training/trainer that assist me. Maybe I shall just go there and make some friends. Wonder if any of you are frequent visitor of Gorgeous Fitness Puchong Br

What's Wrong with Najib's CNY 2013 Greeting on YouTube?

Image
"纳吉迎春,四季平安" To be honest, there's nothing wrong with it (not totally); If you are a radio listener of oneFM, I believe you've heard numerous time about the phrase mentioned above  "纳吉迎春,四季平安" .  If you haven't heard that before, below is a video for you (by MalaysiaKini) Najib and son extend CNY greetings in Mandarin through airwaves I was quite surprised when I heard the CNY wishes by Najib and his son through OneFM. So far I think he and his campaign/marketing manager are doing a lot of work to approach more people especially during this Chinese New Year before the General Election started. Have you seen how other politician garner votes using YouTube video too? Besides radio, I believe some of you received mail/letter or even PERSONALIZED ANGPOW ENVELOPES  greeting from our own country Malaysia's Prime Minister Dato Sri Mohd Najib right?? Fuyoh!!  But I will never thought of one day that our Prime Minister will suddenly ap

Windows 8 Review - SkyDrive, New UI Features and Usability

Image
Windows 8 Launched In Malaysia in November So now you've heard of Windows 8 and a series of new PC, laptop, tablets including convertibles are made available with Windows 8 operating system. I personally think that Windows 8 is released and highly linked to gadget with touch screens as most of the User Interface features are made easier to use with it. So what if you want to install Windows 8 on your current computer? Yes you can but first you should run the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant to make sure your PC can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro before purchase (you can run it without purchasing). To upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, your PC must be running Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 Consumer Preview, or Windows 8 Release Preview. I've got myself a copy of Windows 8 and installed within just half an hour after formatted my old PC's harddisk. (Make sure you did your backup) It is really fast and all I need to do is choose what kind of setting  I want for

Fear Factor Selebriti Malaysia & House Roadshow Challenge - I Can Do It!!

Image
Fear Factor is back in Malaysia with 30 celebrities in this season!! Coming this December 29th, Astro is bringing us Malaysia's very own Fear Factor Fearless Challenge that will test human's fears to their limits! Mental vs Physical. Which one is more important? I guess you might have seen a big guy who is afraid of cockroach. He might be doing great in keeping fit but he is really weak with his mind when dealing with crawling creatures. I for myself is the opposite, although I not really good in fitness, don't have six-pack and can't run far, but I may have a strong mental for this game!! I am not afraid of height, not afraid of water, not afraid of darkness, not even afraid of ghost haha (because I haven't seen any in my life yet...) Catch eels with bare hands  Since I can catch eels with bare hands, I think I can handle with snakes, I think.....Haha I've face the fear of height by doing bungy jump at Sunway Lagoon: No. 66 was my lucky

My New Cam Nikon D800 First Time-lapse Video. Why not D600?

Image
Nikon D800 with my always cheerful Kido Daruma Early in October 2012, I went to YL Camera @ Jaya 33 after knowing that the brand new Nikon D600 is available there. Before I reach there, Alvin (from YL Camera) message me that there is a second-hand Nikon D800 available and is in very good condition =) That made me wonder at first as I need to do a quick decision. Nikon D600 vs D800 I've read several DSLR camera reviews on the internet and the article that helped me made my decision  would be from NPhotoMag.com . It made me easier to decide which DSLR to go for in just one day. D600 is a more affordable full-frame DSLR when compared with D800. D600's weight is lighter too; However what makes me go for D800 is because of its 1/8000sec shutter speed, 1/250sec flash sync speed. These are the main reasons why I go for D800 as I don't mind carry a heavier camera that can help me produce a better image quality photos with more flexibility. Of course, the

4 Good Reasons to Study In UK

Image
Traveled to London during London 2012 Olympic Games Ever since my first trip to London during Olympics, I have fallen very much in love with the city especially during summer. Apart from the four seasons that we don't experience in Malaysia, there are tons more stuff to explore here! Take this for example, during summer you may spot this old man feeding squirrels and birds at the park. I've always wanted to capture these kinds of photographs and that excites me to stay longer in the UK and explore this side of the world. Eventually it also made me consider whether or not I should further my studies in the UK. A Degree/Master's course in Photography I guess? =) Below are some of the good reasons why you should study in UK:   1. The UK offers you an outstanding quality of teaching, and a world-class learning experience Proof a: Over 86% of postgraduate students in the UK stated that the overall experience of their research programme met or exceeded the

COFFEE @ Tippling Club Singapore #PricelessSG

Coffee @ Tippling Club Singapore Hola guys, I just came back from Singapore yesterday and I did enjoyed my trip for Mastercard Priceless Experience Launch in Singapore. Good to meet Michiekins who traveled together too. Thinking back about what I've been through in last few days were great as it was a pampering getaway with lots of new experience and exposure.  Got impressed with the new hotel located in Sentosa - Equarious Hotel. They do have luxurious room that makes you remember that great place. Imagine your hotel rooms on a tree, or just beside the sea facing the Singapore city view? It would be really awesome if I can stay overnight there. We had a very good fine-dining experience @ Tippling Club, Singapore . Tippling club is listed in World Top 50 Best bars with innovative food paired with great drinks =) I gotta say each and every dish being served was so creative, beautiful and delicious. If you have chance you must really go there for a nice dining experien
