Image
Kirin Kiki (树木希林) at Japanese Film Festival 2016 @ GSC Pavilion KL It was another year that I document Japanese Film Festival 2016 at GSC Pavilion KL . This year is much more special because there's appearance of  Kirin Kiki (树木希林) , a three-time Japanese Academy Award-winner who is considered a living legend of Japanese cinema.  Kiki Kirin/ Kirin Kiki four-decade-long career has been marked by critically acclaimed roles in such films as Kamikaze Girls ; Tokyo Tower: Mom and Me , and Sometimes Dad ; Chronicle of My Mother; and Like Father, Like Son . Earlier this year, she walked away with the  Lifetime Achievement Award at the 10th Asian Film Awards . She appears twice in this year’s JFF lineup; as the protagonist’s mother in opening film After the Storm and as the female lead in An . The first time I saw Kirin Kiki is through the movie "Kakekomi" in last year JFF . It was good to meet her in person and I gotta say she is very humble and shy at the sam

French Film Festival Launch 2016 @ GSC Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Do you love "ang-mo" especially French? Then you shouldn't miss out French Film Festival Launch 2017 by GSC next year !! It was another fun photoshoot for me to cover as I get to shoot for a French themed cocktails and a preview screening of romantic comedy, “Caprice” in GSC Pavilion KL. THere were champagne and Martell for the guests of the night. Aesop was one of the sponsor for their cute welcome gift. *Just imagine Aesop in small glass bottle, too cute!* Caprice This was my first time watching French movie too, I find that there's a lot of coincidence about love in the movie and it is funny to learn French's culture this way. I'm not sure how true is the movie but it was fun to watch. Except the manual censorship in the middle of the movie la, that was really funny hahaha. So below are some photos taken during the event, I hope you'll like it and engage my photography/

The Beautiful Pedestrian Bridge & GSC Media Appreciation Night 2015 @ Nu Sentral

Image
GSC Media Appreciation Night 2015 @ Nu Sentral Throwback to few weeks ago, it was GSC Media Appreciation Night 2015 at Nu Sentral . The cinema was located at the very top floor of Nu Sentral and you will reach faster if you take the elevator. I haven't really got the chance to explore Nu Sentral properly but it seems really huge with many different stores. Other than GSC giving appreciation to media friends through good meal and welcome gift, there was a series of lucky draws including GoPro Hero 4, Samsung smartphone and iPhone 6 Plus for lucky media. Glad that my friend is lucky enough to bring the iPhone back =D  GSC Movies also took this chance to reveal their upcoming blockbusters that night. GSC currently has a total of 31 locations with 284 screens nationwide and still counting. The cinema is expected to expand further with the opening of three more cinemas in Klang Parade, Aman Central Mall in Alor Setar and Bintulu Times Square in Sarawak this year.
