Malaysia's borders have reopened since 1st April 2022 and I am here to share with you the easiest and fastest steps to do to able to travel to Malaysia. It seems that many people misunderstood that the Covid Test need to be done at the airport. But actually right now there are alternatives where you can skip the queue by pre-book your Covid19 test and do it with ease.
2022 Travellers'Visit to Malaysia Checklist:

  1. Download 'MySejahtera' app and create an account
  2. Fill-up the digital pre-departure form via the ‘Traveller’ icon on MySejahtera
  3. Verify your digital COVID-19 vaccine certificate here.
  4. Take a pre-departure COVID-19 test within 2 days of departure
  5. Purchase COVID-19 travel insurance (for short-term foreign visitors)
  6. Professional rapid antigen test (RTK-Ag) within 24 hours of arrival
  7. 5 days quarantine for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers. Book your quarantine facilities here.

On-arrival testing for travellers visiting Malaysia:


All travellers aged 7 years old and above must undertake a professional rapid antigen test (RTK-Ag) within 24 hours of arrival at any private health facility. This must not be confused with a COVID-19 self-administered RTK-Ag test.


Please note that COVID test is available at the airport but not the onle choices, you can do professional COVID test in nearby clinics.

  1. Kindly select a clinic, time and date of appointment that is convenient for you.

  3. You will receive a confirmation email with the receipt after your payment.

You may skip the Airport Test Queue with Online Pre-Booking for your On-Arrival RTK Tests through MySafeTravel.gov.my at approximately 2,500 eMedAsia’s GPs nationwide:

  2. Minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure while queueing
  3. Arrange RTK or PCR Swabbing on site at your accommodation (hotel) or nearest
