Lost World of Tambun's Must Try Ride: 660m Adventure River

Lost World of Tambun's Must Try Ride: 660m Adventure River

It has been a while since I blogged about a fun place to go for family. So yeah I am going to introduce you Sunway's Lost World of Tambun. The reason I was there was merely because I won two all-day tickets and it was my friends and family member's birthday month to enjoy Sunway Pal Buy-1-Free-1 promotion for the family outing. Due to traffic jam, we didn't manage to arrive early at this place hence this time I only manage to explore the waterpark area, Tiger Valley and the Hot-Spring section in this huge theme park.

Lost World of Tambun Ticket Price is currently set at RM58/adult and RM51/kid. If you are senior citizen your ticket price will be RM51 too. I wonder why only cheaper 7 ringgits, is it because too many senior citizen in Ipoh visiting here? Hahaha!

Below are my review of Lost World of Tambun based on the short time I've spent here. Mainly about their Water Park and Hot Springs

Lost World of Tambun is actually quite spacious and in order to explore the whole area, explore their Dry Park first. Like Petting Zoo, suitable for kids who love animals, then proceed with Tiger Valley or Wet Park for all the water-ride. You can see tiger feeding and performance from other animals too. Finish your day by dipping in Tambun Hot Springs would be a good ending for this trip.

It was suppose to be cashless payment system in Lost World of Tambun but we did all transaction using money note though. Including renting locker which open by scanning the barcode. (Locker price ranging from RM15-25). It is better to arrive earlier so you can rent bigger locker room at cheaper price. We also rent two floats at RM26/each (RM10 as deposit and to refund before 6pm). Do make sure to keep an eye on your float in case people grab it without your notice.

Lost World of Tambun's Must Try - The Longest Adventure River

My favourite part of this adventure is dipping in the Longest Adventure River in South East Asia at Lost World of Tambun. Just rent a float and enjoy floating on the moving river for a relaxing time. Your float will move even without pedaling/swimming. The best part is when the wave machine start to work and you are floating on the river with fun waves =)

If you are adventurous, you must play Cliff Racer and Tube Raiders. The Cliff Racer is pretty straight forward and you just slide all the way down and ahead to the sky. Just tell the person in charge to help you hold on more water so you get an amazing slide down the cliff haha.

Weather was hot but good that day @ Lost World of Tambun
Weather was hot but good that day. So it was hurting when we walk with bare foot around the park
It was really hot when you walk barefoot in the park (we kept our slippers in the locker) but I definitely love the sunny weather when we got there =) Best for playing water sport and enjoy the good lighting for photography.

Tambun Hotsprings @ Lost World of Tambun
Tambun Hot Springs Jacuzzi @ Lost World of Tambun
At dusk the weather will turn cold and that's when you will want to dip yourself in Tambun Hot Springs. There's a jacuzzi with 43 degree Celsius for you right at the top of the hot springs. Space were limited but it was relaxing dipping in there. My favourite is their Steam Cave with 45 degree Celsius and you will love the sauna feel in there.

Lots of visitors at Lost World of Tambun Main Entrance
When we were leaving, there were a lot people queuing to buy tickets to go in. I guess they are heading to Lost World Hot Springs and Spa from 6pm to 11pm. Since it is school holiday right now, try to avoid weekend as usually that would be the most packed time to pay a visit.

I saw some photos online and I guess Lost World of Tambun still look great even at night. So I guess I will be back another time for the hot springs~ =)

If you are planning for a family getaway to Ipoh, Lost World of Tambun could be on the list =) Best to bring your birthday boy/girl along to enjoy Sunway Pals Buy-1-Free-1 Ticket Promo ya!!

More information on their website and facebook ya! Do always check out for latest update, promotion and if any rides is under maintenance to avoid disappointment.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is a good portable camera for outdoor activities. Especially when it is water and dust resistant!
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Review
If you haven't noticed, all above photos were captured using Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone which is water resistant =) I used it throughout the water adventure and I gotta say it didn't disappoint me. I've recorded videos for travel logs too and hopefully I am going to edit and post it on my YouTube soon~

The S7 Edge can function in the rain, the shower, or the pool for up to 30 minutes or 1.5 meters under. But it is not waterproof ya! So get a waterproof casing for it if you want to use it for snorkeling in the sea.
