Nice #Bersih 3.0 Video Same Day Edit

Bersih 3.0 - Group of police kicking a guy helplessly on the floor

28th April 2012, a day has been historically marked down for #Bersih 3.0. Have read the news about the police car run over the crowd, people get injured. Police confiscate the reporter's camera gear for snapping photos of them being violent. Tear gas canister launched directly to the crowd and hit somebody.

Today's Bersih 3.0 should be a peaceful event. However, there were some people who were over reacting and made the riot started [Or vice versa]. You can read the note written by Asohan Aryaduray, this is what I thought too. I feel weird that why would parent bring their children to the place where things like this would happen. This will not only endanger yourself but also your family members. Be considerate! I hope that the people out there today is fine without any further injury.

Here's a video I find it nicely edited for Bersih 3.0. Have a look:

Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara (JKKN) Dato’ Norliza Rofli
In attendance at the afternoon tea ceremony, the Director-General of the Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara (JKKN) Dato’ Norliza Rofli said: “As part of the government’s intent to develop and promote the arts in Malaysia, we are happy to work with Kakiseni to urge more corporations in the private sector to contribute to the growth of the Malaysian talent pool and its creative content. In line with that, we will be introducing the annual Distinguished Patron of The Arts to honour and encourage such participation.”

At the event, Norliza, together with Kakiseni’s Low Ngai Yuen announced the inaugural Backers Audition Kuala Lumpur 2012. Also in attendance was Dr Fadhlullah Suhaimi, PEMANDU’s Director of Communications Content & Infrastructure, Business Services NKEA and Dato’ Muhamed Juhari Shaarani, the Director-General of Istana Budaya

Backers Audition KL 2012 is an initiative by Kakiseni to provide financing to practitioners and producers of performing arts shows. Backers Audition KL 2012 will be represented by a panel made up of members of the private sector and relevant organisations who will evaluate applicants and proposals for funding. Kakiseni will act as the coordinator of this initiative.

According to Dr. Fadhlullah Suhaimi Abdul Malek, Director Communications, Content and Infrastructure NKEA and Business Services NKEA said, "Backers Audition, identified as a quick win during the The Dasar Industri Kreatif (DIKN) Lab in January this year, is an example of an initiative that allows the industry to unlock potential business opportunities in the creation and marketing of creative content. We hope to see more involved support from the private sector in providing funding to practitioners so that the Malaysian creative industry can continue to thrive and contribute to a robust economy.

The Dasar Industri Kreatif (DIKN) launched by YB Dato' Sri Utama Rais Yatim, Minister of Information, Communications and Culture aims to help spur the creative industry in the country as an economic generator. There are nine work streams identified under the DIKN. Within the Creative sectors, there is Music; Film and TV; Creative Multimedia; Performing Arts, Craft and Arts. Then there are the enablers which include Marketing and Distribution; Human Capital Development; Finance; Intellectual Property.

During the lab, each of the workstream, identified their quick wins for 2012 and 2013 towards achieving the Gross National Income (GNI) of the MY Creative Content EPP by 2020. The Backers Audition is one of the first quick win projects within the Performing Arts work stream.

“Today marks a new milestone for the performing arts industry. We are embarking on a new journey towards creating a more conducive environment to enable the development of creative content and collaboration. It is extremely crucial that there are now strong signals from the government to the private sector that giving to the arts should be included among their contributions. This support and access from both the government and the private sector will ensure that most of the non-profit performing arts are able to concentrate and dedicate focus to their crafts,” said Kakiseni’s Low Ngai Yuen.

In recognition of the critical role of art and design in the performing arts scene, the 9th BOH Cameronian Arts Award 2012 (9BCAA) took the opportunity to celebrate outstanding achievements in costume, light and set design as well as styling and make-up in the Dance, Theatre and Musical Theatre categories.

Congratulations to both nominees and winners and we look forward to many more great opportunities to be enthralled by your technical skills in upcoming performances to come, regardless the genre,” Russell said.

All right, above are all picked from the press release given. It was too much for me to compile and assort them accordingly that's why I just pick a few photos to put between the lengthy post. Congratz to all the winners as I do appreciate arts too. Maybe there should be an awards for the photographer of the theater and music show next time? So that I can join! ;p

My Future In 5 Years Time - I will be Liv-INGeasi

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary with Kangaroo
Went to Australia with gf to feed the Kangaroo at Lone Pine last year. I wish in future I could travel around the world more frequently.

The Future of a person varies from one to another as some choose to maintain the same lifestyle, while others will have plans to do what they desire in the upcoming years. For me, I admit I used to have no plans for myself. I chose to be a happy-go-lucky person, passing my life happily, without any restrictions. However as time passes and as you grow up, you would realize every action you take will affect your future and this makes me further realize that something should be done for me. This is the time I choose to change and take my first step.

This is also one of the reasons why I left my fix-time job and chose to become a fulltime blogger+photographer instead. It was tough at first as my income was irregular (sometimes no income at all), but once you see your hard work and investment start ‘blooming fruits’, you just feel that it was all worth the things that you've gone through.

Since we are on the topic of future plans - what do you foresee you future will be like in 5-10 years time? Well, for me, I hope by that time I will own a photography studio where I can take photos that capture the precious moments of my clients and have my work exhibited all around the world. Such a big dream ha? =)

Large Photostudio

The second thing that I would like to have is a comfortable dream house in a nice location (on the hill/close to nature).

It would be great if I can travel around the world freely with my future wife too (you know who you are lol)!

Oh ya, since I like to blog and take photos, I am also thinking of selecting all my good stories and publishing a photobook.

Then I can sign it for you guys! That's the 3rd dream of mine, people! Nyahaha!

As one of Malaysia's active social media evangelists (self-claimed), I've recently found an interesting facebook apps that can foresee my future. It was designed by ING Insurance Berhad (Glad to know they are now on Facebook... to reach out to youth like us ;p).

First I need to choose 4 things that I want to achieve in a few years time (mine would be publishing a book, buying a second home, traveling around the world and start owning a business).

Soon after this the Facebook profile page comes out as below!

A picture of me and NameWee and we never grow old (I wish!)

From my 4 selections, the ING Insurance app showed pictures of my house at this beautiful place, as shown in the pictures above. Bringing it closer to home, I wish I could own a similar home in Port Dickson, near Avilion. That’s the ultimate place to be as you can spot nice boats and stroll along sandy white beaches. It would looks so darn classy to be able to own a house there.

Besides letting us glimpse our future, the app also guides us towards the right financial plans to purchase (in the event you want to purchase them, of course).

Through the app, I learned that upon the maturity of my policy/es, I can take out the money and use it as part of my investment on my desired property. In the app, they have all the product information needed to guide us to choose the plan that suits us, and while doing that, you too could take a picture using the cool augmented reality app available and have a cool pictures of yourself snapped!

This is a happy TC (I don't look good with webcam) owning a house by the beach! Yeah, I can blog about my travel experience right in my cozy home! =p All you need is an amazing picture to motivate you to achieve your dream!

Just some facts of what I came to learn about the ING Insurance plans which could be of interest to you.

- There are 3 all-in-one, flexible, investment-linked insurance packages that offer protection and investment options to suit one’s needs at the different life stages.

3 simple packages - Discover, Achieve and Build.

- There are 3 simple packages - Discover, Achieve and Build.
- From what I understood, the 3 different packages are classified according to your life stage. That's the beauty of the plan! You don't need to scratch your head too much to decide which one's for you. Just focus on the plan that fits you most and zoom into it.

- For people who just finished their study and taking the first step in their career, they can choose INGeasi Discover. The plans offers affordable monthly payments while catering to your basic protection needs. Once you are more stable with your career and can afford to pay a little bit more (I should be at this stage of life I hope), you can upgrade your plan to INGeasi Achieve to get more protection but with still affordable monthly payments. This plan also offers protection for female illnesses. (Good news for my gf)

- Once I have my own family in near future,, I might opt for INGeasi Build. The plan will not only benefit me as the home provider but also to my family members. i could also use this plan to save for my children's future education too. This definitely makes thing easier judging the cost of education is getting higher these days.

Enough said already! If you are interested to go and try out this app yourself, go to apps.facebook.com/future-you.

If you are unsure which plan suits you best, why don't you first watch this cool video and see some other people's dreams and the plans that best suit them? Go to www.facebook.com/ING.Malaysia.

Now that I've meet my future self, virtually, I know that INGeasi For You series provides protection against death and disability, critical and female related illnesses as well as loss of family income. It just makes my life easy. =)

INGeasi For You Cupcakes
I like to have a sweet future. Don't you want a better future too?

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
Before we check in the Maxims Hotel, we went for fine dining at Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine Restaurant @ 泰華宫 just behind Genting Rewards Gallery. This is the entrance of Imperial Rama a.k.a. Irama. It resembles the lobby to a museum or lavish mansion.

Imperial Rama is one of the most awarded restaurants in the Kuala Lumpur International Gourmet Festival in Malaysia. To state out a few, Irama won the award of Most Outstanding Appetizer, Most Outstanding Soup and Most Outstanding Entree of the Festival diners' choice which was held on 21 Oct 2011 at Olive Rest.

Here's a view of the interior of Imperial Rama. The spacious dining area is interspersed with intricately carved Chinese and Thai partitions, auspicious statues and wall paintings to further create a mood of refinement and luxury. The whole restaurant can fit 188 guests at one time.

There are a few exclusive private rooms (Imperial, Royal,Regal) where you can dine in. Saw the huge fridge on the wall? That's the place Irama keep their Red Wine and fine drinks and you are free to choose your favourite drinks.

There are two pairs of chopstick for different uses. The red one is the "Public chopstick" to get dishes from the main plate while the black one is for personal dining usage. With this you will able to enjoy your dishes without worrying about others people saliva haha

煎菇沙律 @ 'Shaggy' Mushroom with Truffle oil Salad
It is a good mix between Mushroom and Truffle Oil as I really like this as my appetizer =)
I think I had the most mushroom among others

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
橙花百合帝皇庙 @ Lily Bulbs with Emperor Sprout Orange Salad
The Lily Bulbs looks like onions at first glance and the purple flowers just make this dish look nicer than other. I am not a big fans of Emperor Sprout but seems like it is good for eyes and skin. You will be surprised with this mix of flavor with orange and Emperor Sprout.

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
泰式脆皮薄饼 @ Thai Fish Crackers
The crispy fish cracker that you can dip with the sauce with cucumber, onions and tomatoes for mixtures of flavours. It definitely taste better when you use your hand to eat. You know what I mean =)

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
鸳鸯生虾 @ Twins Flavor King Prawns
I like seafood and this is a very sinful one for me. Imagine you can have a big fresh prawn in two different flavors (Salted Egg Yolk & Cheese). It looks like drumstick for me and the first thing I wanna try is the salted egg yolk flavor. The fried prawn meat was covered with crispy salted egg yolk and I didn't waste any part of it.

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
How huge is the prawn? Ei Ling has show it =)

This is the Twins Flavor King Prawns that Ming is having. Looks nicer than mine!

泡参鸡汁炖汤 @ Stewed Chicken Essence Soup
My first time to try out this chicken soup. This soup is made of a mixture of blended chicken (excluding head and neck part) and was steamed individually. The meat then shrink and reveals the soup with high content of nutrients. I definitely need to drink this more.

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
咖哩燜鲍鱼 @ Australian Abalone braised in Curry Sauce
Another first time given to Imperial Rama to try out curry flavored Australian Abalone. How did the chef thought of this combination? A side dish of Indian style vegetables was given to fit the curry. Ei Ling even said the curry sauce would be a good combination with bread.

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
Hereby revealed the Abalone with thick layer of special curry sauce

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
酥姜蒸笋壳鱼 @ Steamed Marble Goby Fish with Crispy Ginger and Garlic
One of the specialties dishes in Imperial Rama. A simple combination of fresh Marble Goby Fish with Ginger and Garlic. Do you like this dish as I do in every Chinese wedding dinner? The fish is always my top choice!

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
黑加仑果酱排骨 @ Pork Ribs topped with Black Current Sauce
To further fill your stomach, it is great to have rice served in crab shell with the black current flavored pork rib.

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
I need more than one piece to satisfy my taste buds :p

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
榴莲天妇罗伴香茅果冻 @ Durian Tempura with Lemongrass Jelly
Every dinner should have at least a dessert. If you are a durian lover you must try out this signature dish in Imperial Rama.

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
A glass of Lemongrass Jelly with Pomelo pulps that can be consumed by just sucking it through your straw.

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
Outside crunchy skin, inside creamy hot durian paste. Imagine you eat it in a cold weather.
*awesome*

Imperial Rama Thai-Chinese Cuisine @ Genting Highlands
It's time to reveal the man behind these great dishes. Chef Eric Lee, who has designed all the dished that we had. We were given chance to ask Chef Eric on how he prepare those dishes and how they thought of these ideas. Eric said that it is good to hang out with other chef including the young one as sometimes their crazy ideas just work. He does has the talent and great sense of taste buds to know what are the ingredients incorporated inside the dish. Obviously I don't have that talent but I hope you guys like my photos and manage to tempt you haha
